NDIS funding pathways

MyQRMed is a Registered NDIS Provider and can support all three where appropriate.

Plan managed

Submit the NDIS order request and nominate your plan manager. MyQRMed sends the invoice to the plan manager. The product is dispatched once payment is received.

NDIA managed

Submit the NDIS order request with the required participant details. As a Registered NDIS Provider, MyQRMed can support the NDIA-managed process where appropriate.

This MyQRMed QR medical ID is low cost assistive technology intended to support the participant’s disability-related safety, communication and personal care needs. It links to an updateable QR medical profile that can show selected information such as conditions, medications, allergies, emergency contacts, communication preferences and support notes.

This may help carers, support workers, responders or other relevant people access important information when the participant cannot explain it clearly. The support is low cost and low risk, and is intended to complement existing supports, clinical care and emergency services.

NDIS ordering questions

Is MyQRMed a Registered NDIS Provider?

Yes. MyQRMed is a Registered NDIS Provider and can support plan-managed, NDIA-managed and self-managed order pathways where appropriate.

Can MyQRMed products be ordered using NDIS funding?

Some participants may be able to order MyQRMed products using NDIS funding where the product relates to their disability support needs, plan goals and available budget. Funding is not automatic or guaranteed.

What NDIS category and item code are used?

MyQRMed products may be considered under Core — Consumables as low cost assistive technology, commonly using item code 03_090000911_0103_1_1 for Low Cost AT, Personal Care & Safety where appropriate.

Do I need an OT assessment or quote?

Low cost, low risk assistive technology generally does not require an OT assessment, quote or prior NDIA approval. However, the item must still be suitable for the participant and meet NDIS funding criteria.

Is payment taken at checkout?

For NDIS order requests, the process is different from standard retail checkout. Plan-managed and NDIA-managed orders are handled through invoice or claim processing. Self-managed participants receive the relevant tax invoice or receipt for their own process.

Can a plan manager decline an invoice?

Yes. A plan manager may ask for more information or decline payment if they believe the item does not align with the participant’s plan, funding, goals or NDIS requirements.
