Set up and activate your MyQRMed ID

Create your account, activate your QR medical ID, build your profile and test your code. The person scanning your ID does not need the app — they scan with a phone camera and the profile opens in a browser.

Open account portal Contact support

Before you start

Have your MyQRMed product nearby, including the activation card or setup details that came with it. You will also need an email address and the medical information you want included in the profile.

What you need

  • Your MyQRMed bracelet, necklace, dog tag, watch band ID or ID kit
  • The activation card or setup details supplied with your product
  • An email address for the account owner or authorised person
  • Key details such as conditions, medications, allergies and emergency contacts

Set up your ID in 6 steps

1. Open the MyQRMed account portal

Go to the MyQRMed account portal on your phone, tablet or computer. You can also use the MyQRMed app if you prefer.

2. Create an account or sign in

Use your email address to create an account, or sign in if you already have one. If you are setting up the ID for someone else, use the account details for the person authorised to manage that profile.

3. Create the profile for the person wearing the ID

The profile should belong to the person who will wear or use the MyQRMed product. Check the name and contact details carefully before linking the product.

4. Activate the MyQRMed product

Use the activation details supplied with the product to link the bracelet, necklace, dog tag, watch band ID or ID kit to the correct profile. This is the step that makes the QR code open the right person's information.

5. Add the medical information you want shown

Add only the information you are comfortable making available when the QR code is scanned. Useful sections may include:

  • Medical conditions and relevant notes
  • Medications, allergies and reactions
  • Emergency contacts
  • GP, specialist, carer or support contact details
  • Communication needs or care instructions

6. Save, scan and check the profile

After saving the profile, scan the QR code with a phone camera. Check that the profile opens, the information is accurate, and the correct person's details are showing. Update the profile anytime your details change.

No app is needed to scan your ID

The app or web portal is only for the person managing the profile. A responder, carer, family member or bystander does not need the MyQRMed app to view the profile. They scan the QR code with a phone camera and the profile opens in a browser.

Common setup problems

I cannot find my activation details

Check the activation card, packaging or setup instructions supplied with your MyQRMed product. If you still cannot find the details, contact support and include your order number or invoice number if you have it.

My QR code is not scanning

Clean the code, move into better light, open the phone camera and hold it steady over the QR code. Try another phone if possible. If it still does not scan, contact support.

The wrong profile is showing

Sign in and check that the product is linked to the correct person's profile. This is especially important if you manage more than one profile or bought more than one product.

My profile changes are not showing

Check that your changes were saved. Then scan the QR code again and refresh the page. If the profile still shows old information, contact support.

I bought more than one MyQRMed product

Multiple products can be linked to the relevant profile. This is useful if the same person has a bracelet, necklace, wallet card, sticker or other MyQRMed ID.

I am setting this up for someone else

Make sure the profile information belongs to the person who will wear or use the ID, and that you are authorised to help manage their information. Use clear, current details that would be useful if they could not explain their health information.
